Welcome to Public Market, where you can fish the cold waters of the pacific northwest, haul in and sell a fresh catch of fish to the open market. Competing against other players, you will strive to fulfill contracts for large commercial companies, public companies, and small restaurants in the region.
Public Market is a tile laying game for 1 to 5 players. Players will bid for turn order and then take one of two actions. Players will either go fishing or will go
to market. Players will fish polynomial tiles out of the ocean grid and place them into an Ice Chest covering shrimp and avoiding ice blocks and crab.
Players will then go to market and complete contracts with the fish they have available in their ice chest. Completing contracts and selling fish will help to fuel the players engine and personal bank.
Hook: A player will have the chance to complete several Ice Chests through out the game. Players are not punished by a poor tile placement. Their is a very interesting balance between fishing for tiles to fill your Ice Chest and fulfilling contracts to build your engine and make a profit.
